Accessibility statement for the Office for Students Beta website for the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) ratings
This is an accessibility statement for the Office for Students Beta website for the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) ratings. It applies to all TEF content with BETA designation. The TEF website is a new service and is currently designated as Beta. This means it is an early release of a new set of webpages and we are still working to improve the site.
This website is run by the Office for Students. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
The text on the website is sometimes about complex regulations, but we have written it in clear English and made it as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNetExternal link (Opens in a new tab or window) has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We have tested the Teaching Excellence Framework (‘TEF’) Portal pages and believe we have addressed most of the outstanding Accessibility issues, however since this site is still in Beta status and subject to change we will continue to test and will update this as required. We have some accessibility issues which we are working to address in future releases. We are continuing to review and ensure that all contrasts are sufficient.
